Every project is different. Your design services should be unique to your needs.

The person behind the plans.

Certified Interior Designer (MN)
Universal Design Certified Professional (NARI)
Real Estate Agent (MN)

My gift lies in defining possibilities of a space, often revealing solutions my clients never imagined possible. Whether it's reimagining a kitchen that becomes the heart of your entertaining or creating a bathroom that feels like your personal spa retreat, I bring intuition for reading both spaces and the people who inhabit them.

After 20+ years in residential design and construction, I’ve worked on everything from basement finishing projects to full custom builds. What hasn’t changed is what I care about most: listening carefully, designing thoughtfully, and making the process as easy as possible for the people I work with.

My clients want a home that works — for how they actually live, cook, entertain, and unwind. I’m drawn to people who value quality and craft, who know what they love but might not know how to put it all together, and who want a designer who’s direct, honest, and genuinely invested in the outcome.

I hold a Certified Interior Designer (CID) designation from Minnesota, a Universal Design Certified Professional (UDCP) credential through NARI, and have a background in Construction Management.

My work has been recognized by ASID, NARI, NKBA, and Midwest Home. But the recognition I care about most comes from clients who tell me their home finally has function and  feels like them.

Note that each project scope is unique - this process adapts to fit yours.

For items that we are procuring on your behalf, we will track and manage product fabrication and schedules. When the time is right, I coordinate deliveries, wallpaper installation, window treatment installation, and add the final touches that reflect your personality and how your family lives

Installation

I partner with your contractor to have a kick-off meeting and ensure your vision is executed throughout the construction process. With a background in construction, every detail is just as important to me, as it is to your contractor. I often attend site visits during construction milestones to aid in decision making and oversight of your design details.

Design Management

With a clear direction in place, I develop cabinetry elevations, material and fixture selections and sometimes review these selections in a 3D environment. If furnishings are a part of your project, I specify furniture, rugs, art, accessories, and window treatments to continue to complete the story.

Design Development

We redesign your space to meet your needs, goals and how you live your life in your home. This often includes creating drawings of your current space, proposed solutions and layouts, furniture layouts and notes for adjustments to walls, flooring transitions, mechanicals or electrical that could be made. We then review with you and come up with our final proposed strategy and design.

Every project begins with a discovery call — no commitment, no pressure. I want to understand your project story, your goals and your timeline. If we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule a home visit to dig into the details. Once you’ve signed your Design Agreement, we’re officially underway.

DESIGN PROCESS

WE START WITH A CONVERSATION

Of course! A custom home requires you to make hundreds of decisions from planning to move-in day. Some are large, and some are small, but it's important that everything flows together nicely at the end. Hiring a designer is great investment to ensure that details are executed, function is discussed and materials meet your needs.

can I hire you to be our designer while we build our custom home?

Some clients want to meet met at various showrooms, while others prefer to have me bring options to them. This will be something we discuss together, before we sign our Agreement. My goal is to make your project as stress free as possible so that you don't feel overwhelmed.

Will i be involved in selecting materials and finishes, or do you handle that?

While often, the majority of my projects as on the larger side, I love to work on a variety of project types, which can include something as small as a consultation for a few hours.

Do you only take on large projects, or can you help with smaller projects?

I am happy to collaborate with your contractor, or recommend a few that you could interview for your project. For smaller projects, I may suggest tried and true installers.

Do you work with my contractor, or do you bring your own team?

Each Design Agreement is individually tailored to your project needs, and is unique to each project. Your Agreement amount will be discussed and finalized before your project begins. My goal is transparency in the front end of your project.

How do you charge for your services?

Our partnership is collaborative. I listen and learn about how you function day-to-day in your space, your pinch points as well as project goals. From there, I work through a detailed process of planning, selections & documentation - where you are involved in decisions so that your home truly echos your needs.

what is it like to work with you?

I'm not only a good listener, but I also observe 'the unsaid'. I care deeply about the outcome of your project, in an honest and authentic way. Together, we work through many details to make sure that your new space meets your functional needs as well as adding design features that make your heart sing.

Why should I hire You as My designer?

We start with a free phone call to discuss your project, goals, timeline and investment details amongst other things. We discuss the design process and together decide if we'd like to move to the next step, meeting in your home.

What is the first step if I want to work with you?
