This bathroom remodel took a dated glass block shower within an awkwardly laid-out space and transformed it into a luxurious spa-like retreat. By removing an angled wall behind the toilet and borrowing square footage from the adjacent mechanical room, the shower footprint was expanded to accommodate the clients' dream steam shower. The custom shower design features a built-in bench for relaxing steam sessions, a hidden niche to keep products tucked away, and a louvered steam panel over the door for quick, everyday showers. The original layout also had a storage closet that opened outward into an adjoining lower-level bar seating area. Flipping the access point to open into the bathroom instead gave the space dedicated towel and swimsuit storage, while freeing up the exterior wall to fit another seat at the bar. A sleek floating vanity and wall-mount faucet complete the modern spa aesthetic, while feature wall tile adds visual interest throughout. Pendant lighting brings both style and function, and generous robe hooks mounted on the tile wall serve a lake home where boat and hot tub towels are always in rotation. Blue accent tiles tie the space back to its lakeside setting, creating a cohesive, calming retreat perfect for unwinding after a day on the water.

Calie helped us revive our dated 90's basement bar and entertainment area. After the first walkthrough, she presented us with her design plan. She had very carefully incorporated parts of the existing space that we wanted to keep, as well as a complete renovation of the existing bathroom. Her design fit seamlessly with the older parts of the house, which was important to us as well.
