This basement renovation transformed a well-loved lower level in a Minnesota lake home into the ultimate seasonal entertainment space. Working with the existing cabinetry and millwork, we gave this basement a complete refresh with a relaxed lakeside vibe. Out went the old carpet and tile—in came beautiful new tile flooring with the luxury of in-floor heat. for Winter months. We updated the maple cabinets with fresh hardware and topped them with sleek matte Cambria countertops and a full-height Cambria backsplash for a more modern look and feel. Antique glass inserts in the open bar cabinets added character while breaking up the wood tones. To create more seating beyond the bar area, we designed a cozy conversation zone featuring plush velvet swivel chairs, an oversized lamp, and a soft sheepskin rug—perfect for those long summer evenings. This basement remodel was completed alongside a full bathroom renovation, giving the entire lower level a cohesive, refreshed look.

Calie helped us revive our dated 90's basement bar and entertainment area. After the first walkthrough, she presented us with her design plan. She had very carefully incorporated parts of the existing space that we wanted to keep, as well as a complete renovation of the existing bathroom. Her design fit seamlessly with the older parts of the house, which was important to us as well.
